     Rev. Thomas Hooker was born on 7 July 1586 in Marefield, co. Leicester, England. He was the son of Thomas Hooker. He died on 7 July 1647 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 61.

     Thomas Smith married Frances Tough, daughter of Ralph Tough, on 25 February 1627/28 in Bermondsey, co. Surrey, England.¹ He died before 1629.

     Margaret Chester was baptized on 28 October 1618 in the Church of St. Anne's Blackfriars, London, England. She was the daughter of Sampson Chester and Frances Tough.

     Joanna Chester was baptized on 21 January 1619/20 in the Church of St. Anne's Blackfriars, London, England. She was the daughter of Sampson Chester and Frances Tough.

     John Chester was baptized on 23 May 1621 in St. Mary Magdalen's, Bermondsey, co. Surrey, England. He was the son of Sampson Chester and Frances Tough. He died in May 1696 in Guilford, co. Surrey, England.

     Ralph Tough was born circa 1570.¹ He was the son of Thomas Tough and Susan (__?__).
     

     Ralph Tough of county Leicester was one of four children of Thomas and Susan Tough. Ralph and two of his siblings were not of age when they were named in their father's will in 1586 so his birth is estimated at about 1570. His wife's name and his death date are unknown. It is possible that he had another daughter, Joane Tough, who married Thomas Hoye at Burrough-on-the-Hill in 1632.
     Ralph's name first appears in the Court Rolls in 1593, a year after his mothers death. He is probably the Ralph Tough who figures as churchwarden at Borough in 1612.

     Gerard Spencer was baptized on 20 May 1576 in Stotfold, Bedfordshire, England. He married, at age 24, Alice Whitbread on 10 November 1600 in Upper Gravenhurst, Bedfordshire, England. He died before 1646.

     Thomas Tough married Susan (__?__).¹ He was buried on 24 May 1586 in Parish of Rothley, Mountsorrel.²
     

     Thomas Tough is likely the son of William Tough Sr. who died in co. Leicester between 1542 and 1544. A suit in 1560 shows that William Sr. had a first wife, Margaret, who died between 1536 and 1542 who was the mother of a son William. William Sr. had a second wife, Joanna, who brought the suit in 1560. The occurrence of the name Joanna in subsequent generations indicates that she was likely the mother of Thomas.
     When Thomas died in 1586, only one of his four children was of age. His widow Susan died six years later in 1592.

     Susan (__?__) married Thomas Tough.¹ She died in 1592 in co. Leicester, England.¹

     Abigail Chester was baptized on 5 November 1623 in St. Mary Magdalen's, Bermondsey, co. Surrey, England. She was the daughter of Sampson Chester and Frances Tough. She was buried on 8 September 1636, Bermondsey.

     John Day was born circa 1645. He was the son of Robert Day and Editha Stebbins. He married (1) Mary Gaylord, daughter of Walter Gaylord and Mary Stebbins, before November 1673.¹ He married (2) Sarah Butler circa 1685. He died in 1730 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Conn..

     Deacon David Rose was born on 13 September 1709 in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of Jonathan Rose and Abigail Hale. He married, at age 26, Elizabeth Fowler, age 29, daughter of John Fowler and Hannah Scott, on 1 November 1735 in Somers, Conn.. He married Constant Dewey, daughter of Isaac Dewey and Abigail Bagg, between 1775 and March 1790.¹ He died in 1793 in Granville, Hampden Co., Mass..

     Elizabeth Fowler was born in December 1705 in Springfield, Mass.. She was the daughter of John Fowler and Hannah Scott. She married, at age 29, Deacon David Rose, age 26, son of Jonathan Rose and Abigail Hale, on 1 November 1735 in Somers, Conn.. She died on 25 September 1775 in Granville, Hampden Co., Mass., at age 69.

     John Fowler was born in 1651 in Ipswich, Essex Co., Mass.. He married Hannah Scott, daughter of John Scott and Sarah Bliss. He died on 27 November 1757 in Springfield, Mass..

Caleb Stanley, age 57, son of Timothy Stanley and Elizabeth (__?__), on 14 September 1699 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Conn.. She died in 1732.
