She died on 8 February 1918 in Utica, Oneida Co., New York, at age 63 of pneumonia. She was buried in St. Joseph's cemetery.
     
Immigration: on 1 September 1875, on the Frizia Sep 1 1875, Capt. Meier..dep Hamburg and Havre.

     Wilhelmina Bankert arrived in America aboard the "Frizia" on September 1, 1875. She was accompanied by her new husband, Valentine Dux. By 1880 they were living on Court St. in Utica with their three young children. Also living with them was Albert Bankert, 20 years old, the son of Peter and Gertrude Bankert. Wilhelmina was 5 years older than Albert, but was not a sister. I tend to think that she was a cousin and probably a niece of Peter. Peter and his family arrived in America in September of 1880 and took up residence next door to Valentine and Wilhelmina (Bankert) Dux. Valentine's obituary, in 1905, states that he is of "West Prussia". It's probable that the Bankert's, who were of Friedrichsberg, were from the same area.
